POD Mp3 Downloads From New 'Testify' Album

Bet you can't wait for POD's new album'Testify'. Testify is scheduled for release on January 6, 2006.

As a way of giving something back to their 'Warriors', that's their passionate fans, POD is also releasing a special seven track Ep titled 'The Warriors EP Vol. 2'.

The Warriors Ep Vol. 2 is a limited edition set of P.O.D. rarities, including demos, live tracks, and b-sides. Also included are a pair of new songs recorded in demo form, and explosive versions of two fan favorites, "Boom" and "Wildfire," captured live on stage at 2004's annual Cornerstone gathering.

Testify is POD's first full length release since 2003's RIAA gold-certified Payable On Death. The album is produced by the band and producer Glen Ballard (Aerosmith, Van Halen. The album is a very intense output from POD. The first single off the album is "Goodbye For Now".

Metallica Video Online: New Metal

Metallica released a message thru a six minute video posted on their official website Metallica.com. The band talked about their NEW METAL and their next studio album which is tentatively scheduled for release in late 2006.

Drummer Lars Ulrich was particular about being in the ‘Tallica’ mode again, playing new metal and working on new material.

Here’s an excerpt from the video message:

Lars Ulrich: “It was fun getting out of the house and playing a couple of shows, getting a little sweat going, and getting up and sharing some metal moments with our San Francisco friends. And there was a bunch of you guys that flew in from all corners of the country and the world, so we appreciate that. It was fun. And it kind of got us kind of back into the mode of being ‘TALLICA again, so we’ve been here [in the rehearsal room] . . . kicking around the last couple of weeks, working on some new, uh… some new what?” (looks at Hetfield)

James Hetfield: “New metal.”

Kirk Hammett: “No, it’s not ‘nu’ metal. It’s METAL.”

James Hetfield: “K-N-E-W. Knew metal. We knew metal, and still know metal.”

Kirk Hammett: “Actually, this is more like Jurassic metal.”

The Black Crowes Upcoming Free Download

The Black Crowes are again back in the studio together to record a new track. They are reportedly working with producer George Drakoulias. This is the group’s first studio work since 2001’s “Lions” album.

However, it is reported that the band plans to make it available as a free download thru its website instead of selling the track commercially.
